FaithInvest news & events: April 2025

Dear Friend,

This time last week, we were in Paris for our Faith in the Common Good Forum, discussing how faith groups can collaborate more to achieve greater impact with their investments. And what a Forum it was! Read on to find out more.

We also launched our landmark Good Intentions 2026 publication in Paris – our biggest and most comprehensive assessment of faith-based investment policies. We'll be holding an online global launch on Wednesday May 6 – scroll down for details.

Hugely inspiring Faith in the Common Good forum

We had an excellent gathering in Paris last week when representatives of 33 faith traditions and networks from four major faiths, which collectively manage at least £200bn in assets under management, met to discuss how they could collaborate to increase their impact with their investments.

Participants came from leading practitioners in faith-consistent investing (FCI) from across Europe, the United States and Indonesia (our Indian delegate had to deliver his address by video due to travel difficulties).

It was organised by FaithInvest and the Collège des Bernardins whose President is Jean-Baptiste de Franssu (who is also President of IOR, known as Vatican Bank),  and it was full of very rich, highly engaged and inspiring conversations about how we can work together to scale up what we are doing.

There was unanimous agreement that deeper cooperation among faith groups was needed to scale impact, and real interest in developing shared investment approaches and vehicles. There was also a sense of urgency around the need to get going, and a strong desire for practical action.

But participants also felt that more needed to be done to build the ecosystem for FCI to enable more faiths to invest in line with their values. This conclusion was supported by one of the key findings in our Good Intentions 2026 study – that it is hard for faith-based organisations, particularly smaller groups, to implement FCI without access to support from larger institutions or networks with investment expertise.

Read on to find out more about the three key takeaways, including a new Centre of Excellence on FCI and a multi-faith network to enable deeper coordination. And if you'd like to be part of this, please do get in touch – we'd love to have you on board.

A special thank you to our sponsors whose support made this event possible: Our Launch Patron CCLA and Launch Sponsors Amundi Investment Solutions, Federated Hermes Limited, and Anthos Fund and Asset Management in partnership with Ascension Investment Management.

GI 2026-online launch2

We are very excited about our Good Intentions 2026 study – our most comprehensive, in-depth analysis of faith investment policies to date, offering unique insights into the US$5 trillion faith-based investment sector.

The 104-page report analyses 275 publicly available investment policies to assess how effectively faith values are reflected in investment decision-making. The findings highlight several key gaps, providing practical insights and recommendations for faith-based organisations and investment advisers, asset managers, and service providers who support them.
